Johnny Pearl is an award-winning Canadian recording artist whose music blends folk rock, country blues, and boogie into a groove-driven sound rooted in honest storytelling and lived experience. Built on strong melodies, soulful rhythms, and raw emotional clarity, his songs balance grit and warmth with a timeless roots sensibility.
Born in Belleville, Ontario, Johnny now splits his time between Toronto, Prince Edward County, Paris, France, and London, England, reflecting the wide reach and evolving perspective of his work. He recently performed in Paris as part of the Paris Songwriters Association showcase at La Cave Café, further establishing his international presence.
Over the course of his career, Johnny Pearl has released six full-length albums and produced more than 25 music videos, building a substantial and independent body of work. His career has been recognized with Artist of the Year honours from CKPT / CHUM FM Radio, along with a New Talent Demo Award and Recording Loan support from the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Record (FACTOR). He was also a finalist in the Toronto Blues Society Talent Search.
In addition to his work as a performer and songwriter, Johnny is a music producer, video editor, and multi-instrumentalist, taking a hands-on approach to every aspect of his creative output.
